How To Find Router IP Address on Windows 8/10

An IP address is a unique address given to various browsers and websites. It is used to differentiate each and every website and device on the Internet. It is a unique address provided by the Internet to know where to deliver data from the Internet. Lately, there are two types of IP addresses one IPv4 and the latest one that is launched is IPv6. IPv4 has limited numbers which are allotted as IP address but IPv6 is the new future of IP addresses. IPv6 has unlimited numbers and combinations which will never end. IP addresses can look different if you are using a private network or a public network.

If you are using a data connection your IP address will look different than your router. When you use your data connection You catch network from all around you and don’t need any gateway for it. A router is a gateway for extending a network. It moulds the network to your area and provides the connection. The router gets a network from your Internet provider and amplifies it in your local area. So, a router has a different IP address than your computer or mobile phones. As it works as a gateway it has its own IP address for the Internet to know about its whereabouts.
